LE CHARPENTIER DES BOIS

L’aube se lève, et les chevreuils dans l’obscurité du bois alertent. Des bruissements de pas au premier plan nous indiquent la présence invisible d’un des habitants de la forêt.
Puis, de son cris reconnaissable, le pic noir (Dryocopus martius) va, pour un moment, faire résonner de ses lourds tambourinages la forêt.
Il s’en repartira comme il était venu, en lançant une dernière fois son cris.

Dawn breaks, and the deer in the darkness of the wood alert us. Footsteps in the foreground indicate the invisible presence of one of the forest’s inhabitants.
Then, with its recognisable cry, the black woodpecker (Dryocopus martius) will, for a moment, make the forest resound with its heavy drumming.
It will leave as it came, uttering its cry one last time.
