A l’affut sous les arbres, j’attends dans la fraicheur matinale la venue des pics épeiches (Dendrocopos major). Ils sont deux à se disputer le bosquet encore dénudé. C’est une danse bruyante que se livre les deux volatiles.
Puis un des deux revient et commence par tester l’acoustique du branchage.

Lying in wait under the trees in the cool of the morning the arrival of the spotted woodpeckers (Dendrocopos major). There are two of them competing the still bare grove. The two birds are engaged in a noisy dance.
Then one of them returns and begins to test the acoustics of the branches.
